What's more quintessentially Chicago than a sizzlin' hot, relish-loaded,

horseradish-mustard-covered Vienna Beef frank on a poppyseed bun with diced onions and a pickle spear to top it off? Nothing. The answer is nothing.

As part of Laughlin Constable's overhaul of this iconic meat purveyor's socials, I traversed my home town to shoot a cataolg of bright and playful photos capturing these delicious sandwiches being made and enjoyed. From cramped stand kitchens, to the sprawling factory, to the seemingly endless line at the National Restaurant Association show booth, I got to experience firsthand the unique joy that only a Chicago Dog can bring.
