In collaboration with Someoddpilot, Chaco and I worked together for several years to photograph hundreds of new products, and in the process found ourselves developing the studio photo styleguide still in use by the brand today. Colorful, solid backdrops set the stage for “tablescape” storytelling— we bring the world of adventure into the studio by way of indicative props garnished by natural elements.

In recent years, this iconic sandal brand expanded their offerings from the classic Z/Sandal we all know and love to a broader group beyond their devoted fanbase— with slides for lounging around the house, sporty sneakers fit for a night on the town, and slippers made from a sleeping bag, Chaco has you covered. As lead studio photographer for the brand, my job was to tell this story in a fun and succinct way via photos for ecomm, OOH, retail, and social.
